Brian Mosier, biostatistician for EMB Statistical Solutions, LLC, presented his poster June 27, 2023, at #dia2023 in Boston. It is titled "Linear Biomarker Combinations to Minimize the Closest Point on the ROC Surface to the Perfection Corner."

The University of Kansas Cancer Center, University of Kansas Medical Center Department of Biostatistics & Data Science, Kansas Western-Missouri Chapter of the American Statistical Association, Quantitative Omics Core that supports the Kansas Institute for Precision Medicine, K-INBRE, and EMB Statistical Solutions LLC, are pleased to announce the 16th annual Innovations in Design, Analysis and Dissemination: Frontiers in Biostatistics and Data Science conference, to be held April 27-28, 2023. The conference will be held on the KU Edwards campus in Overland Park, Kansas.

Statistical and Programming Team Expands

February 2022: EMB Statistical Solutions, LLC is excited to share news of an expansion to its statistical and programming teams with the hiring of two new associates. Reilly Reis, M.S., senior biostatistician, started her career at PRA Health Sciences/ICON where she gained experience as a statistical specialist in Phase I clinical trials. Maddy Wilks, B.S., joined EMB as a statistical programmer after working at Precision for Medicine. Both Reilly and Maddy have more than six years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and are known to EMB from past work together. We are excited to have them on the EMB team.

EMB participated in the virtual exhibit hall during DIA 2020. In addition, EMB's Alex Karanevich, Ph.D., biostatistician, presented on June 18 during the session titled Utilization of Bayesian Statistics in Clinical Trials.

EMB Statistical Team Expands

EMB Statistical Solutions, LLC is excited to share news of an expansion to its statistical team with the hiring of two new associates. Alex Karanevich, Ph.D., previously conducted research of applied Bayesian statistics and adaptive trial designs in the R environment as a postdoctoral researcher at KU Medical Center. Kelsey Brown, M.S., started her career at PRA Health Sciences where she gained experience as a specialist in Phase I clinical trials.

Rick Moore Joins EMB as Principal Database Programmer
photo of Rick Moore After receiving his bachelor's degree in computer information systems from Ottawa University, Ottawa, Kansas, Moore got his start at Marion Merrell Dow in 1995 supporting EDC technologies. Through the company's transition to Hoechst Marion Roussel in 1996 and Quintiles in 1999, he continued to design, build, import, reconcile, export, and validate clinical trial databases.

Moore has also managed teams of clinical data programmers. He has extensive experience in documenting the required procedures as well as training and supporting end-users. We’re excited to have him on our team!

EMB attended DIA 2014 June 16-18 and celebrated DIA’s 50th anniversary with a Starbucks gift card giveaway. Held in San Diego this year, DIA brings together a community of professionals to foster innovation in development of safe and effective medical products and therapies.

Elizabeth Dennis of EMB attended PharmaSUG 2014 – the premier event of the year for SAS users in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, and related industries – June 1-4 in San Diego.

Elizabeth is well-established in the PharmaSUG organization and serves on its conference committee. This event is used to exchange ideas and discuss future trends, and EMB remains one of the most progressive companies in the industry by joining this and other conferences each year.

EMB's Mike Mosier finished the Boston Marathon with a time of 3:14:02 – an impressive 5,014 out of 35,671 total runners in this year's event!
